Hello! It's me again! I was on the fence about reading this chapter, to be honest. I'm thinking about stacking em some more.
Anyways, I liked this chapter! We saw 2 things: 1) Masato starting to realize that HIS ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUIENCES and actually doing things to change. We saw he answers Sierra less and he's trying to put more physical distance with her. Sadly, although understandably too I guess, he's not exactly sure how much distance is proper. It's ok, he doesn't want to go to the other extreme and suddnely start thinking "Ah yes, this woman smiled when she took my order in a café, she obviously likes me!" (There's people like that out there).
Also we see Sierra's determination. She'll get her yes or die (hopefully hypotetical) trying. Nice timing to remember she knows where Masato lives btw.
Someone in the comments pointed it out, but there's a chance that the gift is somehow bugged with a tracker or something too, so she can "accidentally" bump into him all the time.
Considering how dense yet forward Masato is, there's a chance that he just gulps down and goes "Seira-san, just to be clear, this is only my work". Either that or he gets spirited away by Sierra, leading to more misunderstandings like she waking up in a hotel drunk, half naked not remembering anything and thinking "Oh, I obviously got laid and he accepted my feelings!".
Most certainly one of Masato's many coworkers will call him trying to get him out of there.
