I'd totally fail a Japanese immigration test because I'd have said: "Sena-chan."

It's funny how I've spent a third of my comments calling Nao immature, but now Ayato's first words to him were about Nao looking so mature. Sure, he's already grown to his full male height, but that's about it with his maturity.

Look, it's not that they need her permission or anything, but Sena should absolutely talk to his sister about this. I don't even think she'd disapprove or anything, but she cares about both of them a lot, and leaving her in the dark about this would seem like going behind her back.

Sena herself also holds Occhi in very high regard, to the point she constantly worries that she's projecting her late stepmother onto her friend out of a need for some form of maternal bond.
Cluing her best friend into the fact she's falling for her best friend's little brother would be smart, but it would also appease her desire to not see Occhi hurt--something she's constantly worried she's going to end up doing. As you said, it's not about 'permission', but it would benefit Sena's mentality immensely.

And honestly I feel like Occhi would just be like "finally" and be relieved that her brother and her best friend have someone worthwhile in their lives and she won't have to stress so much.

he's actually progressed pretty substantially just to this point in the series.
Yes, he's a touch tsundere-ish when it comes to how he perceives Sena even to this point, but he's just extremely blunt and to-the-point, which is something that is really not all that common in these sorts of stories (especially for a tsundere character, who usually hides their true feelings behind their mannerisms).

And he's now actually speaking his mind and his intent, and following through with his actions to boot. The moment he actually confessed and set his mind to pursuing her, Nao's whole demeanor has matured. It's just that he still doesn't mince words and will call someone being an idiot, an idiot.
