That's quite a gap of understanding there. With the idols, it'd be parasocial to get expectation like "Please become my lover". I believe most of them aren't crazy enough to think the idols will just fall for them. Basically, it's "a business" and the fans know that.
But individual? She's not selling her skill, nor singing, nor even selling a service of joshikohsei business. She actually leads the boys with expectation that they will fall for her and she has planned to break their heart afterward. The protag is just being a staple of "Visual Novel Protagonist" and projecting the readers. Therefore, "she doesn't do anything wrong".
I understand if a girl being polite yet doesn't want to lead any boys the wrong way. Some girls just want to be friendly. But this girl? Nah, it's still wrong.
