There's some good historical manga out there, I'd seriously recommend you read some more because at least the ones I've read have all been really high quality in terms of artwork, storytelling, and research/historical accuracy

Woah, that was amazing, forever glad to the translator(s); had been itching to read it for a while and just as I was debating whether to learn russian, someone picked it up. I had personally never been that interested in mediterranean history like that so this was all very new to me, but it was definitely a breath of fresh air considering the historical tag rarely moves outside of western european and chinese settings.

What a lovely manga, and a lovely translation!
Come to think of it, there aren't many manga that follow one character almost their entire life, from little girl to old lady, everything in between. Even aside from the historical aspect, that made this read feel like a special.

Thank you, history /a/nons for working on this manga. Without your introduction, I would have never read this manga nor Alexiad (which I'm still slowly reading). This was a great homage to Anna Komnene. I would have never imagined that this art style and this kind of story telling would make such an enjoyable manga out of the life of a Byzantine princess.
