Ann's little internal monologue at the end almost felt like a flag signalling her wanting to "bow out" of the party in the near future.
But it also reads like her just being a proud parent (...also of Kachua(???) though that sorta reads like Ann just thinks of Kachua as a 'baby adventurer' which isn't inaccurate, so). In light of that, I'm choosing to think of it that way--especially as her personal story would be better served staying part of the group, and I see no reason for her to actually try and depart, at this point (since I believe we had that little bit already, to a degree).

Glad that Aug was immediately accepted, as predicted. A sad tale regarding his home village, but this is a nice little long-term goal that the group can have now, working toward a worthy cause, and gives him a solid reason to stick with them and continue growing alongside them.

Just a lovely series that hits a lot of delightful positive beats, with some very cool action scenes of them taking down monsters and bad guys in the process.

To be fair, it really does seem like the author forgot the MC is a mother of two. Even during an invasion of demons on her city, there was no mention of checking up on her kids. They gone, not to mention the husband...

Don't get me wrong, a bandaged up werewolf looks dope as hell. But wouldn't that be such a hassle as an adventurer? With all that fur, he's gotta be burning up under there.

Heaviest symptoms means he's closest to a beastman, which probably means he's the strongest of all of them. They're all just villagers, likely none of them have experience adventuring or even traveling. And since he's the youngest, he has the most potential to grow, the most stamina, the least age-related injuries and ailments. Also, everyone else older likely has an essential job in the village. A village is not going to have 'spare' men, everyone is either going to be a specialist or an apprentice. At most they would have sent one of the women with him. but maybe they're too old too.
