I wonder if even succubi misunderstand their own diet. The assumption is that they need a 'good man', whatever the criteria is, but if Emu can just live off her own fantasies then it must be another matter.

Maybe their magic is powered by their own sexual satisfaction. Perhaps a good man and satisfaction overlap for most succubus, but maybe it's not necessary.

I disagree, your example is an extreme measure to justify your view on tone. The very first page of this manga states "I am a succubus" and I could give you a point if this topic never came up again but that is not the case here. The demoness theme is always present, I suggest you chill and enjoy it as it comes, I doubt the author would make Emu brush this off like it's nothing because she's not that type of character and she's well aware of what is happening. There is no room for misunderstandings one way or another: Succubi seduce and men get seduced. Feels rapey? Learn more about fantasy and check again.
