I like that it was "resolved" this quickly. The misunderstanding between last chapter and this one lasted the perfect amount to hit the humor of his mistake, but didn't carry over into Kaede being upset for awhile longer or anything.
Plus, Kouhei gets the kiss, and the confirmation, and it's another Win for them both as Kaede gets affirmation that her not-yet-boyfriend is absolutely down.

I did appreciate him getting the wrong idea for a moment about just what their two friends have been getting up to for so long.
