It is likely not an actual harem. Do you consider "Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter" as one? That LN has multiple heroines, but MC is only in a relationship with one of them

Well I think the Marquis meant "as a marquis from a different faction". If he utilized his higher nobility ranking, that would put Klausel in a difficult position. So he didn't want to impose that difficulty to his benefactor.
