MC keeps noting how the guy would destroy the country if his kid died, my question is, how was MC planning to live his peaceful life in the boonies if he hadn't randomly saved the kid?
Seems like he didn't have a plan at all, just hoping that they'd not get crushed along with the rest of the country?
It's apparent that the author originally just wrote one chapter at a time, without really thinkinh much, or at all.
When you remove the stunning art, it's easy to notice that the overall story isn't exactly layered.

It's stiff, but certainly not without effort. There's some grammar/sentence structure areas, as well as spots that look like there were meant to be more details:

* The territories/estates should be mentioned specifically as such, just saying The Klausel doesn't let people know whether it refers to the young lady's house or the territory at large

* Punctuation will affect tone and delivery, an should be used in conjunction with special text such as italics or half-opacity to differentiate between volumes and emphasis. When the maid is conversing about the birthday, she's doing so knowing she's not fully out of earshot of the young lady, but is doing so with the gesture for secrecy, which is to raise one hand to the side when denoting that the person or persons on the outside/back of the hand should not hear the information. From cues like that, you can more or less surmise that from the moment the panel shifted to that shot, that she was whispering the important part, which is that the party was for the young lady's birthday.

Other than that, it's more just self-study and practice expanding your translation to English, which is shaping up--looking forward to your next drop assuming that you're not leaving it to DeepL/MTL. We got too many of those groups around here, you know...
I will not comment on your tips (I lived all my life in France, you're better than me in english), more on the MTL part...

To me it seems very unlikely that this was used, at least not everywhere. MTL has a tendency to correct japanese syntax to english/french/italian/whatever syntax, even if it means the actual meaning will go off the window. That's precisely what makes it very bad, it SEEMS correct, but it is often very wrong.

And since some of the issues are with these points of syntax, where japanese can be veeery different, it feels way more like someone struggling to form english clauses with japanese ones than MTL. At least, to me that is currently learning japanese, it did sometimes seem like it was being too close with the japanese syntax - feeling very wrong even though the meaning is conveyed clearly.

Someone with native level in english is - imho - what's missing, and on that a lot of us can be useful to the TL.

Wait, Asmodeus scan is banned? I guess holding chapters forever kinda bit them in the ass.

The mangaka wasn't the one responsible in writing the story. He tried his best with what provided to him.
