Great news, that big announcement is almost certainly an anime adaptation!

Right now it's just a leak but that leaker (SugoiLITE) is known to be very reliable especially for Jump titles.
That's probably why the series is moving to a quarterly mag, to give the authors time to work on the adaptation.

EWW!! HELL NO! They are NOTHING alike. This scene was gross then and STILL is now. She did it to MANIPULATE a traumatized CHILD. She was an emotionally abusive asshole. She is disgusting. The kids had NO ONE they could trust and rely on. Especially not her. The whole program these kids were forced into was f'ed. Don't ever compare Eve to this garbage human. She messed up Shinji's head so badly. Ugh. Thanks for reminding me, now I'm angry all over again. Sigh.
