The plot thickens.....geez.....these ninjas are getting annoying.....they kill Miu's mom and now they wanna drag Miu into there conflict. I wonder if the Elder will take Miu into hiding for training to breakthrough into Master level so she can protect herself......or maybe Miu will be forced to choose sides in the conflict?

Its gonna be a wild arc.....bet the ninja wars will go on for at-least 150 chapters.

I just read through the original manga these last couple of months and i'm pretty sure that this is a new thing or just a gag for this specific chapter, Kenichi hit Nijiima all the time (along with everyone else in the alliance actually)

I might be misremembering, but while Nijiima definitively got hit by others, the most Kenichi ever did to him was grab him by his clothes or have him on the ground while they scuffled, but he has never managed to land a strike (that is, a punch or kick) or stomp (as in, attempting to squash him like a bug while Nijiima scuttles on the ground) on him.

No he definitely did quite a few times. Sometimes the gag would be that Nijima would slip away but a lot of the time it was just him getting a beating from Kenichi or Takeda or Kisara etc. The slipping away gags were used more against the villains actually now that i think about it, and also the characters stopped getting mad at Nijima as often in the last 100 chapters or so, so that maybe why you don't remember
