Yuu acknowledges this is a personal growth issue; a big part of growth is doing things that don't come naturally/sometimes clash with your personality but are the right thing to do. Aya is so done w/ him b/c of that lack of growth.

But I tend to go by what she says when angry (Hikari's "you may be mean but you're honest") and here it's that she's not buying Yuu's offer:
Which to reconcile with what I was saying, she thinks he's messing with her b/c what he's offering is a retread of what they had.

Yeah, but my other theories also fit into this:
Man it isn't that, it's that he's consistently putting Aya first - her friends flag the problem of him being more concerned for Aya than for her, here he's functionally agreeing to cast Hikari aside to stay with Aya.
I think that is the retread. Another relationship where he's not fully committed and hasn't thought through the consequences of his actions (no plan). Which to pull back a step, is also why I think she was never willing/able to be fully vulnerable with him, and he's still showing his unwillingness/inability to push her.

Take it easy man. This isn't football, there's no need to pick a side and get into a fight outside the pub, or whatever. To be fair, at least the world cup is real and not based on a WN. No one here can step into the world of the manga and slap character xyz if they make a long or mean enough post. I just want to read normal comments. It's not a competition. There's no prize. No winners and losers.

Aya's got a whole internal monologue right around when they first start dating where she's worried about ruining his family. There have always been other people and Yuu chose to run w/ hiding Aya instead of building anything resembling a plan for introducing/explaining his girlfriend of n months, up to six when she ghosted & at a point where he still had no intention of breaking things off.
Where's the fun in that tho? I have not had this much entertainment ever since that abomination of a story Domestic Girlfriend.
Romance drama? Five characters is super easy. Though how specific do you want it to be? Only main characters or any relevant character?
And the "big game" is like cricket or something, becuase there's only like three of them passionately arguing about it
