Noa showing he's much more perceptive--and introspective--than his introduction would lead one to believe is a nice, if predictable, turn of events. Everything else about the series to this point made it pretty clear he wasn't going to be some scumbag, because that seems to be reserved entirely for the out-and-out antagonistic figures. It was simply a question of when, not if.
Him being fully aware that he's nothing without his friends & comrades is good, though. He comes off as so off-putting in how he interacts with others that, coupled with how much those around him kinda hype him up, it wouldn't be completely out-of-pocket to think he'd have a chip on his shoulder. So to confide in Kachua about how he's upset about the Executioner, because it takes away from the others' achievements when he wants their party to get the recognition he knows they all deserve for more than just his own efforts, is commendable.

Yes, he does need to be a bit more aware of how he comes off to others, sure. But it's good to see that the newly introduced characters/rivals/friends for Kachua continue to possess actual depth to them.

Her kids totally got thrown to the background of the story huh. Guess they where just props to set up her mama status for the plot.
Multiple chapters have been stints in dungeons or fighting big battles with demons. The plot's necessitated that pages be dedicated to involved sequences of events within singular, if large-scale incidents.

Her kids not being present for that makes sense, to me. When she actually heads back home, and they aren't around, then your criticism holds merit. But number of chapters doesn't correlate to amount of time passing in-universe; what is weeks or months for us, isn't for them, so it's really not that strange, in that light.

Only inconsistency I really see is during the kidnapping of Rick and Laura, and demon attack on the city. Kachua's priorities were on her teammates. The lead up to the fight, her rant about familyduring the fight, and even the aftermath of the fight, which includes the next day. Not once was her kids or their safety brought up.

Sure there is something to be said about the crisis happening right in front of her, but would still think some part of her would have been conflicted or least concerned about the welfare of her kids. Instead we find her alone, naked, in a church bathtub relaxing.

That's unfortunately the case for most shounen action series like these. They need a unique hook to get the reader's attention and they just continue as if the hook was not there at all. The kids are there to set FMC as "i treat every gathering more than 3 people as family" stance and also the need to write in romance is completely avoided as she is married with kids (though both are not and will probably never be relevant to the story.) It's all for the sake of that title. ""Mother"? Now THAT is original" is what author wanted the readers to think.

Also kids are practically growing up on their own like orphans lmao. She will probably get back home every 30 chapters or so to keep the status intact. At this point i won't be surprised if she aimed for her party to be A ranked or something which hardly makes any sense considering the premise. She can raise ranks just as happenstance, but her aiming for rank by choice where death is just a daily occurrence would be weird for this supposed mother of two. Remember, this is a side husstle for her. Her husband already sending money to home. But i think author starting to lose sight of that plot point.

Kamogawa-sensei has received permission from Yuko, the author of the original novel, to add and change elements in the manga. I haven't read the novel, so I don't know if that's good or bad for the plot. What I know is that I like a lot sensei's drawing style.

"I need to set a clearer direction for the party." Didn't we already do this whole what goals does everyone have thing already? You're a married mother of two in your 30s. You should be more than capable of understanding it's fine to work a job just for money to pay the bills even when other people working it are really passionate about something.

On the subject of the kids, I thought the son went off to the academy or something. Last I remember the kids, or at least the son, were afraid to ask for things because they know the family doesn't have a lot of wiggle room in terms of cash.
