It doesn't seem likely the girl time looped as well to me. It was made clear she only went to the karaoke party the first time because he was there. When he said he wasn't going this time, she said she wouldn't go either, and MC thought it was odd because he just assumes she'd have gone because she's in the popular group.

Hidaka met MC and his sister when she was 5 years old at a park. MC was the only first person to show her true kindness. When MC's dad came to pick him up and his sister, Hidaka was sad because they probably won't meet again but MC gave her a gift as a symbol of their eternal friendship. For Hidaka, this one time encounter was the best day of her sad life, and she never has forgotten MC.

I haven't read that one yet. I've been debating whether or not to read it since I've seen people mentioning that it is basically misery porn for the cheating childhood friend and the MC barely does anything in the story at all. It's basically everyone else saving the MC.

Yeah... too late. I started reading it a few days ago, since people kept praising the hell out of it.

I mean, the manga, so far, isn't bad. It's just MC and FL beginning to bond with each other, and childhood friend starting to realize how stupid she is. It's just that the story is already showing signs of everyone bending over backwards to defend MC while he does practically nothing. I think this manga does it more realistically.

This is a hyper dramatic premise to say the least.

I can believe that a woman would be sociopathic enough to sacrifice a guy's reputation just so she could get with another guy.

I can't believe so easily that the other guy would instantly believe her over his friend of 2 years, but maybe he and the woman have known each other for longer? Fine.

But then there's the rich guy. I get having a distaste for someone, but punishing his whole family for it is overkill. And wouldn't he at least feel sorry and try to make amends upon learning that his act caused a chain of events that killed the MC's family? Like, at all? Like, even if you believe the MC is this horrible pervert, that's not worth killing his whole family over... Right?

And then there's a bunch of assholes at the beginning being like, "Ha ha, his whole family is dead. Jump! Jump!" Maybe that could just be the MC hallucinating in his final moments. Normal people don't act like that. If those were real people saying real things, I'm honestly surprised that it only ended up being a suicide.

Spoiler: Tsukiyama Ouji, the rich guy

MC thinks Tsukiyama Ouji talked about the incident to his father to make his dad fired, but it's not true. In the prologue of LN 3, we learn it was the scheme of someone else and this person made things worst by saying MC also bullies and threatens Ouji on daily basis.

Tsukiyama's father believed the claims because this person is a close and trusted friend of his son. Ouji tried to convince his father he wasn't bullied or threatened and MC's dad didn't deserved to be fired but the father as a big doting parent didn't believe in Ouji, thinking his son tried to not make him worried by lying.

Also, Ouji never bullied MC. He even tried to help him by inviting repeatdly to his house so his father could see MC is not a scumbag. But MC always refused. One day, Ouji went to MC's house and he learnt about MC's dad death, he apologized but MC didn't care and told him to move out. Ouji deeply regretted to not have been able to help MC.

this is only recently released this year in manga format. if chapter 2 has been released, its still being found/TLed. The LN is up to vol. 4, recently released. Translated, you can only read the 1st LN from SainokanTLS and the others are behind paywall so you'd have a better chance looking for links of vol 2 & 3 elsewhere in this thread.
