Not that weird, really. It's actually a very common (unhealthy) relationship dynamics; where one person sees themselves and their own trauma in someone else and then tries to help them, as if by helping someone perceived as their own past self they are also giving their past self the treatment they yearned. In this case, the object of obsession is the unconditional love that she yearned from her own mother.

She described it herself in chapter 186:

"Maybe we're just licking each other's wounds, but I never knew it could feel this good."

I dont care, im happy for Yuki that she has someone she can feel be her authentic self both emotionally and physically. Even if she cant convey her true feelings yet.

Even if the feelings or "love" are misplaced, I think it's nice for her to have some sort of respite. Especially now dealing with her mom.

I'm ngl as hypothetically nice as it is for Yuki to be feeling comfortable and happy in a relationship, Taiyou is kind of a sheet of wet cardboard and their relationship as a whole is so undercooked that I really don't feel anything about it lol. I'm hoping we'll get some kind of interesting twist on the dynamic being presented but damn this shit tastes like cargo pants.
