It's pretty obvious its going to branch off into less wholesome territory but they ripped so much from the "Using healing magic the wrong way" its kind of hard not to keep seeing it , even the damn high collar trench coat lol.

This looks like pandering to very specific people. You know how some manga pandering to people who feel unappreciated, manga that panders people without social skills... This one panders to people who need purpose, want to be saviour, require encouragement, harbor lowly thoughts and have low self-esteem at the same time.

LOL.
At this point, he doesn't even need love potions to mind-control people.
Being an adept is like being a potential S-rank adventurer in a country as vast as 2 continents (what happened to gravity if the planet is larger?).
And the 'adept' number 91xx ? That number is too small.

Also, the last part of chapter 1 is so cringe. As in, the elf fled her village to seek for an 'adept' with THOUSANDS who are seeking the same help for their small villages.
Only one is able to be certified after around 5 to 10 years. But she came bloodied, didn't get treated while perhaps "teleporting" to the capital. And simply run to hopefully get an 'adept' who was coincidentally certified on the same day at around the same time of her arrival. Too much coincidences are lining up mysteriously for the MC's sake.

I thought I was reading a south-korean manhua. Where MC becomes OP after 5 pages, then the plots are adapting themselves for the MC who pretends he is being "challenged", qnd ends up being a story exposition similar to the slice-of-life "lvl 9999 farmer".

Binged through the first two light novels after seeing the chapter.
If they adapt it well, this will be good. Aspects of it remind me of Isekai Meikyuu de Harem's longstanding effect on isekai from the web novel days (general mistrust in humanity to be altruistic due to a not pretty relationship with family and others while on Earth), Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, and Darker than Black. I guess it would be fair to bring up the contract aspect of Desert Punk as well. The aspects that remind me of Darker than Black aren't unique to humans, though it is described as rare. If this ever gets picked up for animation down the line I hope they have a budget, because the adepts are basically superhero/superman class compared to others, and its never just one or a small group of monsters involved. While the adepts aren't immune to being wiped out (light novel 2 goes more into some history of those incidents in the past, which ties into why it would even be fine societally speaking if he used banned potions) it has to stick to the classic Superman dilemma of is the target protected versus does Superman survive.

Monsters follow the format of "if they're intelligent, they have to have eaten enough people to get to that point" so we're going Frieren/Goblin Slayer route as they solely exist to destroy humanity.

How it handles gods as a concept in the world is interesting as partially seen in the first chapter, how it handles nobility in the first volume (the elf girl's request is volume 1) is interesting, and you get to see some actual character development with the mc, even if it takes its time.

everytime a manga setup the MC as sick and bedridden in the past life
i cant seem to get over their personality after they isekaied
this one in particular have the whole training arc skimmed through like some disney movie from the 2000s
here i thought the lady with the spear is evil and tricked the MC picking a regen/self heal ability just so he can be her punching bag but no
shes nice, maybe
heres hoping it wont turn to shit
The novel was also like that, the important point isn't the training arc. It explains how hard the training arc is in general with an occasional call back, but fundamentally its the One Punch Man/Wrong Way to Use Healing/Dodgeball method of just repeat the basics ad infinitum on hard mode until you can learn to handle it and dodge the wrench so spending too long on it at the beginning isn't the point. It isn't wrong to say the instructor kind of baited him into picking following the god of life (cause they're shorthanded in comparison to the need) but she also doesn't lie to him about it. Hands down they are the strongest in terms of ceiling for humanity which is why they try to pull people into it though not all make it, and in the second light novel volume they mention one of the upcoming prospects under the god of war is far weaker than even the mc and the other adepts, individually speaking. Which is why I hope the manga will live up to some of the things the novel sets up, the adepts are specialists and one man armies.

I checked the ending. If you hope for real romantic development and not just some filler, quit immediately. Harem tag also should be removed.
What ending, the web novel is ongoing with some post main story stuff and a new arc of writing, and volume 4 of the light novel just came out not long ago.

How John Mangaka feels after writing the 5 quintillionth self-insert slopfic about how he'd make a harem of ethnically diverse women (whom all look the same except for one girl that is just slightly tanned) that are all coincidentally either slaves or are former slaves:

I love how it was important to remark who designed these characters like they aren't the same kind of isekai/fantasy/videogame generic designs as the rest

Do people actually read a character talk about using love potions on slaves to force them to love him and go, "yeah, I like this guy"?

We're doomed.
You can spot who will likely go bar to bar slipping roofies on drinks until they catch a prey

I’m not gonna lie… why have I been seeing tons of Obsession like works? Where the MC manipulates a woman or women into loving him
You have this
That other top 10 one where every demon loves him
Like what???
The best thing about love is that person wanting to be beside you for who you are. That’s what love is all about
our generation is fuccked, that's why. Male loneliness is really fuccking things up.

Technically, there is no issues with harem/slaves/love potions. But only as long as they are portrayed as negative. And the MC can persue these things, but then make the MC an actual villain/asshole. Make him a bad human being. A good enough author should theoratically be able to pull it off. How? Idk, it's beyond my capabilities. But what I can say is that it is not through those showvillains that became popular a while ago, where the characters are villains in name only and do the most heroic actions possible.

And while this could technically still try and portray MC as a negative character, I highly doubt it will happen.
