This story does feel like the writer put some thought while making this instead of just vomiting out another same slop. But it's still at a place where it could go anywhere. Either it can go on to become a genuinely interesting story or the auther might fumble hard trying make it way too complex and justify slave harem love potion amd lose it all.

He is first one to become Adapt without Origin power (it's like expansion power and Conqueror's Haki combined) and his personal armament (weapon) didn't change at all during the training.(by end book one the weapon will change a bit and get stronger)
