the previous chapter felt like we would go straight to the archer fight, but back to downtime. So it's just pacing weirdness.

Half of it, if not more, is that she just really likes Hikaru and wants to do it with him. Of course she would find it difficult to tell him that directly, to appear so lustful and knowing he already has a girlfriend, so she's masking it behind saying it's a repayment. What you said means she actually can push herself to try to do it.
