Hikari gone missing?
Well, scissoring is the reason for the season. Angry toxix Christmas yuri is a go! /s

Who's going to crash out? Aya or Hikari?
Yes.

That looks like she's pretty happy with his tears.
Happy she won. Hikari is just as warped as the other two.

I genuinely don't even remember why I started reading this Manga anymore, there is so much drama going on with no end in sight that in starting to tweak out
I do. Girlfailure tries to pursue her Childhood Friend and continues failing despite having already won.

For all she knows, she has no reason to think Hikari won't have him.
She knows that the confession went badly b/c of her friends texts, that Hikari knows she's in love with Yuu & is enough of a self sacrificing idiot to give her Yuu's number, that Hikari has not accepted Yuu's confession b/c Yuu would never offer himself up to Aya if he was in a relationship with Hikari, and that he still likes Hikari - at no point while offering to rekindle the relationship does Yuu say his feelings for Hikari have faded (or that he loves Aya more) just that he's done something despicable to Hikari. (ETA: which, it's about what Aya thinks Yuu thinks, not what Aya thinks Hikari thinks).

Maybe unworthy of/not good enough for Hikari is the more accurate take, b/c what I'm getting at is Aya not wanting to be the consolation prize (again).

I think it's not about the consolation prize, being the second choice or anything. Chapter 50 had Yami thinking that the winner is decided already, which imo contradicts your idea that she thinks Hikari won't have him.
Both recognize that Yuu also has the other girl on his mind and that hurts them. And he is honest about it, to be fair to him.

That looks like she's pretty happy with his tears.

Phrasing it that she's happy he's crying makes it sound contradictory to what the manga shows. If she's happy that he's crying, that sounds like she's happy he's emotionally invested in Yami and not over her at all (so Hikari being happy about it doesn't really make sense).

What I assumed from reading the manga is that she's happy they couldn't make up because that means she has a chance to be with Yuu (because she's a stupid cuck at the end of the day), but does the novel show it in a different light?

This highschool level drama makes me wanna pat my younger self in the back because of how much drma BS i dodged by staying away from mentally unstable classmates.

Sigh

I'll say it again
Please don't let Hikari win through the end, she doesn't deserve this. She deserved someone better who truly likes her with no "Lies" beyond that.

I hope it ends up with 2 scum's.
Had a weird feeling she would see Yami and explain everything about her feelings, and Yami would comfort her, then they would talk, making things out, and Hikari's feelings would lighten up, and she would confess once again (I hope not) :meguuusad:

You two likely meant the same thing, that she's happy about him failing to make up with Yami.

There's nothing indicating any sort of joy in the novel. Hikari is completely unable to decide what to do and what kind of expression she should make.

That smile

Oh, Hikari. I didn't know you had it in you. To be so happy after seeing the one you love and the friend you love not be able to get together. No, no, I get it; it's natural to be happy that it seems you can have him to yourself now. But I can't help but wonder hold long you were hiding this side of you.
