Xia Lin remains caught in the middle of determining whether it's acceptable for her to be attracted to women. Song has essentially come out to her, and there have been several moments where Xia Lin visibly bristles whenever Song mentions past experiences with other girls (I know she lied). What complicates things further is Xia Lin's pattern of compliance. She tends to follow whatever Song suggests, even agreeing to their fake dating arrangement simply because Song asked. This creates genuine confusion about her own motives. Is she going along with everything because Song told her to, or does she harbor suppressed feelings that she hasn't yet acknowledged?

The immediate priority should be Song reassuring Xia Lin that attraction to women is perfectly valid. From there, the choice belongs entirely to Xia Lin. She deserves space to exercise her own agency and decide which direction she truly wants to pursue.
