And don't forget paper made from rice plant fiber existed as well. So you could quite literally use rice paste to close rice paper envelopes or glue paper panels to interior doors and or walls of your home.

But if you go to Page 3 and look at the panel where she's tripping and falling, you'll see them.

And if "marriageable age" is 16 here as it usually is in these settings? She's probably done with the majority of her "development". She'll probably have one or two more growth spurts where she gets a bit taller and fills out slightly more, but for the most part? That's pretty much the finished product, especially if she was an early bloomer.

So you can be forgiven for thinking she was more like 18 or 19.

you can also just use plain cooked rice to act as adhesive... yes, Rice is that multitalented just like the coconut trees.

rice husk can be used as bedding for pigs and others and eliminate the odour of their poop, the stalks are good fodder for burning or making anti-mosquito fog thingy, the grains itself are food, and its starch can be mixed with boiling water to create makeshift paste...

In anything but a modern setting humanity would just die out with that much of a skewed population. And heck, even in modern times if they pumped dudes like they were dairy cattle daily would likely be the requirement to keep humanity going. But yeah, if nothing else, he wouldn't just be with one women.

Ah, none of Masai other works are adaptations either. The principal of my theory still works as the author and artist are different people.
