I am so curious to see how the final chapter goes, if it'll keep all humans dead (or in whatever state Unknown left them), or if some new form of life will show up.

If this does go "everyone dies" route, this is one of the best executions I've seen. It doesn't leave me with the usual hollow ache or dissatisfaction, it feels very fitting for this series.

Though Daidai did not appear in this chapter. I can only assume she ended up in a parallel universe while doing a Gray job.

Yeah, pretty much. On page 16, the cult leader became a blood splatter on the wall but not before erasing part of the upper head of Madaraitsudzu.

Yeah that's what I thought, I just wasn't sure. Damn, I didn't expect the cult leader to be done in like that. Just goes to show how strong Gray are. I would have expected something bigger to be on the level of the cult leader.
I also hope the little boy didn't get done in by the jet black stone god of fishing.
But I wonder if anyone will ask Taguchi what did DaiDai in...

Wow, bittersweet. So this is the final chapter as far as I know and on their twitter account it was said to be officially ended. It's beautiful. From reading the mangaka's Twitter, I believe the ending is already out but the scanlation is a few chapters behind. The atmosphete in the comments under the final chapter announcement is cheery too so I don't think 247 is the final chapter. Besides, as of chapter 247, the Designers are yet to play their role, so I hope this Chekhov's gun fires in the real finale.

I need to know this too. She was the unkillable gag character. I refuse to believe she just died like everyone else. My copium is that she wasn't human in the first place and that's why she doesn't count.

Daidai was never on the ship, her place was taken by the "gray". She's shown at the end to have missed the departure entirely
