It got axed so we will be going at neck breaking pace to the end. I think 2 or 3 chapters left.
He fuses with his master, genderbends and become a woman as a power up at the finale LMAO
Monthly Comic Garden, the magazine where the manga was serialized, ceased publication in April; it appears the author allowed this to influence her decision to bring the story to an abrupt end.
The manga had resumed serialization in November following a brief hiatus and was entering the story's second act. It could easily have reached the 100-chapter mark—a real shame, given that there were still two more nations to explore, and we will now never learn the fates of those characters who were surely set to reappear as allies to Adonis and Doroka.
I had to make an account just to respond to this. My jaw dropped when I read this since that is some Grade A BS right there.
This story has not been the paragon of story telling since day one, not even close. But to just end it like that? That almost feels like an insult to the readers who bothered to stick around for this long. It would've been better to just move the story to another magazine, or at thee very least just end it on a cliffhanger. Maybe that way it could've returned one day or not. This feel like back in the day when an anime caught up to the manga, the anime would make up it's own ending. Only this isn't that, it's the actual source material with a terrible ending.
I've read a lot of real bad and terrible stories, and I probably will read a whole lot more garbage in the future due to my inability to stop unless a story is really bad, but at least a lot of the bad stories I've read had the guts to stick around and finish to the end, no matter how bad and convoluted they got. The Kingdoms of Ruin was kind of a waste of time. Introduce a slew of new characters, most of whom I suspect will die now, a dozen of unresolved plot lines and character arcs, and now it just ends like this. I can't believe this. (fan fic writers rejoice I guess to write a better ending, though I doubt most would waste there time unless they're mega fans)
Oh well, on an somewhat unrelated note, has the prequel to this series ever been fully translated yet? I would at least like to read and see what it's like. And if not, anyone know where I could find the raws for all the chapters of the prequel?
