I just read the light novel and I’m kinda surprised at how much they’re cutting out for the manga. The side characters loose a lot of screen time and there was an entire culture festival that was cut. The girls that gave him chocolate weren’t just random nice girls, they were Yukide, two girls that he asked for help and talked to during the culture festival, and a friend of Machino. Feels like they’re doing Nitando dirty by leaving that out…

Not really, well, from your perspective it might be doing him dirty, but he's been nothing but nice the whole manga, it's just that it leaves out some characteristics of him that would've made him better.

However... A WHOLE CULTURAL FESTIVAL HAPPENED AND IT GOT CUT????

I like the way Machino took her time extracting his confession to having received chocolates. He really should know better by now.

He didnt realize through her teasing but she straight up confessed to have been staring at him all day. Not just did she spend all day staring, she was worrying about actually giving them to him and ended up jealous at the end of the day lol.
