chapter 1 dashed your hopes, but everyone is already following Sei's directions and ignoring Juke so it's clear Juke won't be successful

we'll probably find out later Sei has enough money to pay everyone, so they just ditch Juke and work for Sei after Sei's banishment.

While i was reading this chapter, I was just thinking that Juke is lucky this is a lighter, erotica manga. Because if he was the same incompetent leader of a new party like the younger guy party leader(Safre) in chapter 3 or 4 of this manga, even with the Sei-equivalent competent MC(Loran), he definitely would not be having any happy endings .

Nah. I don't remember what chapter thread it was, but someone wrote a recap based on their reading of the web(?) novel. The manga had already skipped a lot of content, like his struggles as a carrier and a bunch of stuff that happen well before the manga's current starting point. So I doubt its related to this current chapter's arc.

I don't think he is paying his party members. For starters, in that case it wouldn't even be a question whether he is a leader or not, he wouldn't even put it as a "obviously, i should be the leader?!" half-asking confirmation. He just thinks that he best-suited to be one, because he is an idiot.

And that's exactly why he was glad that Sei is a carrier, because as he said "hiring one is expensive", but if he has carrier as part of the party - he can cut down those expenses.

The webnovel tends to open each arc with a teaser and in the case of this arc, it opens with the same banishment we got from chapter 1 of the manga. It's most likely the same scene,

though we'll see what they end up doing with it. I imagine a lot of people won't be happy with the end of the arc.
