Always funny seeing Japanese manga endings triggering the hell out of most non-jp audiences.

This is a very conventional ending for this sort of story and fits perfectly fine.

The people who are unhappy just misunderstand what this manga is about (literally the focus of this entire chapter). The romance was never the primary 'point' of this story. It's Ichi's and Yamada's growth over their middle school lives and highlighting how precious that time is.

I'm sure a lot of the same people who are unhappy with this ending also speedred the chapter because they didn't give a crap about the graduation and just wanted yamada x ichi moments.

The author can always add an epilogue if they want, but why even bother here? This sort of ending closes it off perfectly fine and the reader should be allowed to have their imagination go wild in how they would live out their highschool and university lives afterwards.

This story is about our time in middle school, not about the time after.

I think it could've easly continued for a couple dozen of chapters more, specially focusing on what is like to be a normal guy and date a girl in the industry.

At the same time I also think that it was the perfect point to end as it always was just a school romcom, so of course once they leave school, the story is over.

I have no words. All I can do is smile and utter not even a mumble, I am depressed yet Joyed with thee fact of thy Manga's end. I am not satisfied nor disappointed, I am riding through The 5 Stages of Grief by Music yet I cannot shed even one tear. Songs blasting while reading the last chapter is so surreal and... I'm completely speechless. This is all I have to say, will they're be a sequel? I'm not sure, but do I want one?

That's kinda the issue, unfortunately.

Great development for the MC throughout, but the manga suffered heavily in the latter half due to zero development for the FMC.

Seriously, Yamada was a bit of a blackhole for the last 3 volumes, lol

I think the problem is Anna didn't get proper growth in the ending volumes at all, while other works like Polar Opposites went to side characters only after both MCs were developed, especially as Suzuki was more of a MC there.

Also the later volumes was too much into graduation exams (like Dress Up Darling into cosplay) which killed the theme of the show, or maybe atleast for me because it's a rat race here (exams and all).

Still one of the better endings, way better than Komi and Dress Up Darling, waiting for the spinoffs.
