Not sure anyone would be happy with "Van got traumatized by constant battle and getting literally stabbed by friends, so he tried to fix things and got stabbed some more, but kept trying to fix things anyway while going utterly insane in the process and got stabbed AGAIN by Ryuka this time and then they let the Will of Mana out to destroy every last trace of his attempts at fixing things just to spit on his corpse and ideals."

If only I could be bothered to learn how to put the image of those panels in, but seeing the hero and the MCs see the other with such happiness and also with a slight amount of pain in their faces, from having been able to actually cinch the finale and NOT having to fight each other to the death (at least that's my interpretation, but the slightly-pained faces might just be grins that are mixed with relief instead) just made me want to sob.

God this is so good... friendship so beautiful you feel painful relief from avoiding having to harm each other, from the unimaginable amount of anxiety that'd weight on you.

I think we're safe. Lady Em up there actively, consciously, and knowingly contributed to getting herself mooninated, the Will of Mana did no such thing.

Last I looked into anything about it he was going to go reboot the universe with his snake wife and adopted dragon child once his mom nursed them back to health from phyresis.

WotC decided Jace needed to start abusing Loot, more of a beast child than dragon but whatever, because otherwise he might come off as right that a universe that suffers constant apocalypses maybe doesn't need constant apocalypses. Eventually Vraska bailed on him and took Loot with, staying with Grandma Beleren, and Elspeth stabbed him for trying to fix things, again. This time he exploded into a bunch of Jace mind fragments that were working together on the plan. One went psycho on the others and locked them away because they were saying their plan might not work out after all.
Chandra and Ajani went and hunted down Vraska and forced her to come along and kill him while also getting his alternate universe imaginary half gorgon daughter/gender bent mind clone to go get Emrakul to eat everything about his alternate universe except for said daughter clone who instead gets to live on in his place with his spark and his family.

FINALLY!!!! FINALLY AFTER ALL THESE MILKED OUT MANGA, THIS TRUE PEAK STILL GOT ME😭😭😭😭😭 man I can't believe we're this close to the end, just 1 chapter away, the comedy of this manga always got me laughing good anytime. sure it has some of that arc which feels like a filler but most of the time the main couple still got a progress from that unlike many romance manga, so it's still my favorite one so far. i feel a rollercoaster of emotion while reading the past 6(?) chapters and having this chapter just broke me into tears man... im getting too emotional over a manga i'm not supposed to be like this i'm too old for this but😭😭😭😭 i'll miss you, ryuka and van
