Seeing how he turns into some drooling killing machine, I guess it's safe to assume that Yotaka took his eye back then to keep him safe and get him out of active duty.

Which begs the question what happens if Yotaka finds out Junior is being coerced by Kanetsuna (and Kokuten by extension) into his old ways again.

I feel like she would be pissed, mainly because she likely had to force herself to essentially strain their relationship by taking his eye only for him to still be in the assassin business, only this time he's being manipulated into it by his boss exploiting his connection with her

She is explicitly a rookie, and it's less the bit where he killed the guy on top of her and more about finding him in a charnel house seconds later. Spooky shit for a girl who hasn't actually killed anyone yet.

I can take his last line in a couple of ways.
1. Even after getting his fangs back, killing simply isnt as fulfilling as he felt it was.
2. Based on the fact that we don't see rookie with him maybe he's lamenting that sweets after a mission aren't as satisfying when eaten alone (ie. Without Yotaka)
Or maybe a combination of both.

Man... poor Junior, how would it feel to be forced to kill again cause your old partner cut your eyes out of fear/rumors? (rumors about he would snatch the 1# rank) There are so many different feelings inside him, he liked/admired Hawk, She still is around and acts... like that. His bosses push him into the worst situations possible. Why is him even still in the buisness? Everywhere he looks someone hurt him or take him for just a "lesser"

I think he only ever finds any form of fulfillment when he's with Yotaka, the whole ice cream bit was probably him trying to relive what it was like to be with Yotaka (depends if she initiated it to calm him down or vice versa) only to realize that the only other person who likely didn't see him as a monster, who he could kill alongside with and relax with after, was his senior.

Dude likes her company and her more than he's letting on, maybe that's where the 'twin snake' bit comes from, he's obsessed with her but not with the idea she represents but because he actually likes her more than he wants to admit.

Lol, what - did the Kohai think that they were "good people" just "doin' muh jerb"? She's there with a gun on a strike team mission. The people they are fighting and themselves are not good people. Kanetsuna understands how hard it is to make someone kill another person. But, this is a war between criminal organizations for dominance, humanity has no place there. "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here"

I believe I understand now. The main character didn't take out his left eye out of spite, jealousy or fear of his potential.

She understood that he doesn't want to used as a hunting wolf. By taking out his eye, she/he/they hoped that he'd get to stop having to kill the way we saw here today.
