Only in H-manga could this work. Since humans don't actually have a heat cycle, that command would have done nothing. Dude would have said "Go into heat." and the most he'd get are looks of confusion.

When the Orc King used charm on the adventurers he realized that he could only affect the women. So he used the new skill charm to force them to attack the men. Including Blade's group. The women were not trying to have sex with the men, but attacking them with arrows and magic. The only part of charm that wasn't changed was Karina almost getting charmed when she looked at the Orc King using her spatial magic.

I'm convinced the author is making changes to the manga to make up for shortcomings in the light novel.

Because having the women adventurers go after the men sexually fits more with the themes of the story. Same for the changes to Karina confronting the Orc King later on.
