They're more of a clearance sale since they're technically old stock the dock salvaged from repo'd ships they stripped down for parts

cuz they practically got it for free since the Dock actually wanted it all offloaded asap
But actually getting em for free would seem too suspicious for the Auditing department so they had to beg the pres to just sell it to them instead

It's pretty much the same thing on how they got the ship renovations for pretty much free
the only real big time costs were from the ship's outer paint cuz without it the ship pretty much looks like it was gold plated
