Too straight forward. Clearly Hinata is yandere for his little sister, so is trying to isolate Shinji by stealing the affections of any girl around him in order to turn him gay so he can have Runa all to himself.

I feel like there is not 1, but rather 2 stalkers.

I think the two siblings are the stalkers. I imagine Hinata is trying to help his sister get together with the MC. In the first chapter, he even used the excuse of returning the phone his sister “forgot” so that the MC would have a reason to start talking to her. I think Hinata must have found out about the first letter the MC received and decided to do something so the MC wouldn’t end up with anyone else, and that’s why he made the second letter. That’s why the stalker doesn’t do anything when the MC is talking to Runa, but immediately acts when the MC talks to any other girl.

Ok, the dude seems to be reasonable smart. We all know its Runa whos the yandere. He doesnt of course because so far theres not really any clues hinting at her being the stalker except for one. He has never gotten a threat from the stalker when around Runa, yet suddenly when around this girl he does. If this stalker was consistent, she'd also threaten to harm Runa.

If this date does happen and no threats are made, its pretty obvious shes the stalker. If he doesnt pick up on that... well thats just bad writing.

I'mma be real with y'all. Realistically, Yanderes would have a lower win rate vs Tsunderes. Any sane person would reject Yanderes for ruining their social lives by distancing themselves away from EVERY woman they encounter by at least 10 meters.

I can see the appeal of the archetype but it just doesn't work IMO. Kuuderes are still the superior species.

Like at this point just confess and set boundaries instead of making threats.

The thing is that the author is most likely going to pull a bait and switch, and by this I mean Runa will be a stalker but a mild one (she's aware of the mistaken love letter and thinks that girl is in love with the MC so she's trying to be with him 24/7 and trying to whisk him off to after school activities), there's most definietely a second stalker because, even if 90% of readers are fine with the MC and Runa ending up together even if she's the black letter stalker, very few authors actually go this route so he'll most likely make a side character that stalker who Runa will help beat, currently the likeliest candidate is the male best friend.

Man, I'm really enjoying the fact this is leaning more into the psychological/mystery dramas. Also nice that there's actual human interactions between the MC and the harem group (to some extent).

Considering the teacher’s immediate reaction to a guy bolting down a corridor was to drag him by the arm with the intent of yelling on him, I wouldn’t choose that particular teacher as the reliable adult to talk to, honestly…

this is a dumb take but couldn't Mc just try calling the number of the stalker the next time he gets a message? I mean if the messages are sent to his phone's built-in text app there has to be a phone number attached to it and even social media has the option to make phone calls.
