I should be shaming MC, but I dunno, I guess I give him more of a pass than others of his ilk because he at least had the common sense to want her to go to the police or an orphanage. It feels unrealistic, perhaps even a crime, when the MC just says the person(its usually a girl) can stay with no mental pushback or thoughts about letting the proper authorities deal with it.
