IMO, the manga adaption thus far is actually great. IDK if this will get an anime adaption, but I'd say the manga adaption is arguably better than the LN thus far.

Yeah - Hanna's death was a big emotional blow at the climax of an already-intense long-running first combat for all of them.

Slowing things down a bit and injecting some levity and more sentimental moments is a good thing, to not bog the reader down in narrative depression.

Gotta have balance of pain and bliss, etc

The catch is understanding the nature of Valiere that stands out among the royalty. It is a hint that she is just as much an anomaly as Faust is, but far more subtle.

The Polidoro people knew but did not fully understand, acting out of duty. But this mission and Valiere's growth earned their proper recognition regardless of the strict military achievements.
