Whoo, captital visit! I can quite biting my tongue on some novel spoilers after this arc!

I love how Hiro's still thinking of himself as "some nobody mercenary" after being summoned to the capital to receive the Space Medal of Honor.

Man, I love the "each heroine turns out to be a princess" trope!
Also I can more or less tell how it goes from there from other works of this author.
Elma's not a princess. She's a minor noble, really. Not exactly one of the folks moving planets. Little Christina from ages ago ranks higher than Elma.

Hiro's actually got a fairly broad harem right now. Two dwarven mechanics, a robot maid, minor elven nobility, and a perfectly ordinary middle-class commoner.
It will continue to be skewed away from princesses for as far forward as I've read, though it does skew a bit closer to "everyone's a princess", despite his best efforts to avoid being bogged down in the nobility and all the political games associated with.

Yeah the bro is siscon.

When they watch a broadcast, they see that the Crown Princess is a dead ringer for Mimi (cept slightly smaller boobs lol). So it turns out, Mimi is grand-niece to the King. The King's sister ran away from noble life just like Elma did, and those dramas Elma watched of a noble turned mercenary were inspired by her. Meeting with the King leads to the government people in the system from the beginning of the story being purged for how they treated Elma and Mimi.

Thanks for the scanlation.
That explains why that one noble guy recognized her

I've watched the anime 1st episode and it's kinda okay for now. One interesting thing was that I actually forgot about their world. There are Feddies and Imperials fighting for galaxy. And yes, Feddies or the Federations, I would say. Don't expect Feddies to have mobile suits or troopers fighting bugs a.k.a FedNet (Starship Troopers). If the MC spawns in Feddies area, I wonder what will happen to him. What does Feddies have that the Imperial doesn't? This is going to be more interesting.

nobody mercenary
literally an honorary noble
4th person to ever receive a specific extremely meritorious martial award in the history of the empire
buddy are you shittin' me rn

Meanwhile, the capital feels like a mix of an ecumenopolis (with extra layers via active support, effectively a partial shellworld) combined with the metal planet from Planetary Annihilation (iykyk).

What I really hate about these incarnation or like suddenly got transported to another world mangas but ESPICALLY THE INCARNATED manga is they DONT LEARN TO FUCKING FIGHT!??!!? or just get COMBAT POWER!!! when world has like people carrying swords and there is a knight order and adventure type shit.
THANK GOD HE HAS LEARNED COMBAT in his human form type shit.

He is good at piloting space ship and good at gunfight.
He could handle himself against other mercenaries or bandits.

Problem being Nobles are different breed with enchanced body and their uber blades.

I can't say for certain but...
The series tends hint that the federation makes the empire look saintly in comparison, one of the girls he later rescues is a belbellum federation wetware cpu, aka a designer baby who is immediately put in a jar from birth and is made to act as a "command unit" cpu, with a set lifespan of 25 years, needless to say hiro goes above and beyond to help her, while again the federation hasn't been heavily explored in series the implications are that the federation does not have the protections on human or AI rights that the empire does.

Thank you for the translation!

So I am the only one who thought "Trantor!" when I saw the capital planet? Allright then, showing my age I guess. But Elma is best girl! You can fight me over that! :)
