First, "aphrodisiac induced rape"? Whos rape? Because everyone involve there was clearly consenting.

Yeah, I ended up checking the translation because I was curious, and yikes. In case anyone is curious but doesnt want to bother,

Spoiler: Alto is a scumbag

I get it. The idiot of the guy took way too much of a dosis of the warrior potion during an attack to their town or some shit, and it made him need too stab himself almost mutilating his arm to avoid assaulting Fio because of the aphrodisiac side effects. So technically, she ends up consenting to have sex with him to calm him down so he stops hurting himself... But then he loses his shit and violently takes her, treating her like a disposable sex toy and quite literally throws her on the ground like trash when he is finished... This is supposedly just the potion's blame, but it's also implied there's a dark side to Alto the potion left out.
And then next day, now sober and under no substance effects, Alto is trying to find a way to fix the situation with Fio, and decides is a good idea to force himself on her again -yeah, now it's rape for real- thinking it's fine as long as he shows her what non-violent good sex is like, so Fio can forget her first bad experience. And Fio is way too scared and its way too weak to stop him.
So yeah, Alto is that maliciously retarded.

people treat this series like the boogieman but that's only because the huge tonal shift with that one rape scene. It promptly goes back to being an ecchi (or smut? depends on how deeply the manga depicts the sex) romcom with a dash of identity crisis. Also I suppose it baits yuri but delivers the opposite.
