Fair point 😭 I honestly don’t have much creativity when it comes to staff and end-credit pages. The opening credits image was commissioned a while ago and cost me around $40, and I just didn’t have the budget to commission another one for the end of every chapter.

So yeah, I used AI for the end/credits page layout. The translation, proofreading, redraws, typesetting, and the actual manga pages themselves aren’t AI-generated.
Sorry if that rubbed you the wrong way — I just wanted to make the release look a little nicer with the resources I had.

Looking at the group's feed, there were two chapters of a different series released within the past 30 days. Before that, their next solo release was nearly 2 years ago.

Yeah, I get what you mean. I’ve noticed that style becoming pretty common too. I’ll probably try something simpler and more personal for future releases.

99% of us will never even bother looking at it, let alone read it. We dont really care if you eat an apple, that's why there was never any "credit" pages before normies swarmed manga.

There is a reason why Mangaka is a job, you cant throw random color on an image nor ask an IA to color it for you.
If it was this easy great mangaka wouldn't spend so much time on each chapters.

I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding here. The $40 was for the opening/staff page that I commissioned a while ago — the AI was only used for the end credits/support page because I simply couldn’t afford to commission another one at the time.

The colored pages aren’t AI-generated either. When I first read the manga, I thought it would be really nice to have some color pages featuring the three girls in the manga version, so that’s exactly what I decided to do. I paid a colorist to make them, and honestly, calling those pages AI-generated feels pretty insulting to the person who worked on them. He put a lot of effort into them and has a long track record of doing manga colorings — to the point that, for the Spanish version, he even worked on fully coloring the Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon manga.

They’re included as bonus pages, not as replacements for the original black-and-white artwork. If someone prefers the original manga art, that’s completely fair and they can just skip the extras.

As for remaking the translation, it honestly wasn’t about trying to squeeze money out of a trendy series. The chapters are free on MangaDex and Patreon is completely optional. I just wanted to make a version with more careful proofreading, improved image quality, redraws, and some extra material because I like the series.
Totally fair if that kind of release isn’t your thing, though. Different readers value different things.

Hmm, honestly, while I was editing the chapter I just ended up doing the SFX that already had translations available.

The ones that didn’t, I simply left alone, and I’ll probably keep doing it that way.
Although, if I’m being honest, I mostly get excited about doing the SFX involving the girls lol.
