This one was SO CLOSE, so close to getting it right.
Every single one of these stories where the MC recalls his past life -- does NOT actually recall his past life. He gets possessed and overwritten by the person he used to be from Japan. There's a MASSIVE DIFFERENCE.

I really liked how Loic kept using "I" statements, since, surely, just recalling some vague far away memories, does not mean his identity is suddenly different, right? It's just extra information.
Then: "Loic is going to get killed!" etc.
meh.

That may seem like a really weird pet-peeve to some of ya'll, but when you consume this sort of thing to a nauseating degree, it builds up in ya.
