Shockingly, the obsessive mentally unsound Jelasis made a tactical blunder. He could've stuck to the big demon, but shifting into one of the smaller fire demons allowed him to whale on Ragna on a more personal level. There's smashing an ant under your feet, and there's cracking someone's skull under your heel.
That and potentially grabbing Alicia while disguised as one of the fire demons. Aaaaaaand safety in numbers hiding among the masses. So in hindsight it wasn't a bad decision, but a poor one. At least Ragna put a stop to that right quick. But given he's one of the romance targets?

To pierce the heart the MC's stab needed to be 3-5 cm lower-to the middle line of the body, than how it was depicted (p. 19). He, probably, damaged some large blood vessels and the left lung, but the heart not so much.

Yeah, the Heart is actually a really difficult target; honestly, you're better off trying to hit the aorta (and/or brachial artery), abdominal artery, and/or femoral artery; and of those, the abdominal is really the easiest...To pierce the heart the MC's stab needed to be 3-5 cm lower-to the middle line of the body, than how it was depicted (p. 19). He, probably, damaged some large blood vessels and the left lung, but the heart not so much.
