You expect too much of thid MC.Are those half-baked goons really worth confronting openly and spending any effort on? It would be a different thing if Hikaru needed to fish some information out of them. But if that's not the case, it would be better to just slay them before they even realised what hit them. And then loot their corpses, of course, in case they are carrying anything worth taking.
I mean he seems to be doing just that. He isn't bothering with stalking and waiting for them to show a opening. He is just saying you die now, and there is nothing you can do to stop me.Are those half-baked goons really worth confronting openly and spending any effort on? He first confronted them openly and even chatted with Lyber. As if those petty villains personally mattered so much Hikaru just had to give them that much face before ending them rightly. By doing so, he just gave them a chance to defeat him or escape, no matter how slight. Basically, any such last talk is only for your own satisfaction, unless you need to extract intel out of the enemy. But such satisfaction is normally reserved for a major adversary that has made your life worse for real. Like if someone stole your land and destroyed your family's future, you might tell them to rot in hell before you put a permanent end to it, to make yourself feel like it's all finally over. These goons, however, are nothing. You can't really say Hikaru would have known them for a long time or that there would be a personal feud between them.I mean he seems to be doing just that. That said there are two points of worth in attacking them. One putting a end to their actions, and two this guy clearly likes to collect magic tools, those are worth taking.
Yeah, he pissed in the wrong guy's corn flakesLyber has fucked around for too long, now he has to finally find out.
Tbf he does have a semi personal grudge against them. They tried to assassinate Jillarte and desecrated her beloved father's body by raising him from the dead and force him to try and kill her too.He first confronted them openly and even chatted with Lyber.
