To be fair, that was how it was handled in the webnovel as well, not because it was pushed to an end quickly. The manga actually made some improvements to make Lisa more evil, like how Lisa shared her memories or POV of how she killed Toru's parents rather than just revealing it in words, and how she transformed the corpses into a throne rather than just sitting on a random corpse.

That "I killed your parents' reveal felt very unnecessary, but "I did it so I could date you so I could break up with you" is pretty funny in how convoluted it is.

Also, the fact that she's keeping Sain around, even after the reveal that the Hero being nearby constantly reduces her level, seems kind of dumb. He's not particularly powerful, just betray him now, cut off his limbs or something so he can't do anything and have him deposited across the battlefield or something.

That's not what I was saying at all. Sain's the hero, and she knows it. The thing is that despite her talk of the Hero lowering the Demon Lord's level she's clearly not any lower. Given that she thought getting close to the Hero would fix the problem, and that she has indeed been close to him without losing levels, it seems pretty clear that this ability isn't just an absolute, constantly active "passive skill". My guess would be that it's either a skill that has to be deliberately activated or something that only works if the Hero recognizes the Demon Lord as an enemy, or something along those lines. In any case, she can be right next to him and not lose levels, despite him being the only one with the ability to do this to her, so it must be something along those lines.

Long story short, Sein is still a real hero, but a weaker, corrupted one, while Toru is a fake or imitation of the hero, but better. Lisa didn't expect the fake one to be much better, and that was her mistake.
