Kenshin basically represents all the privileges and praisehe was denied despite being a legitimately good fighter

Actually, the chairman made a good, pragmatic move in the past. And also, screw this guy. If you are willing to ruin other fighters' careers by injuring them, be prepared to have your career ruined too. I hope the blind ref returns for this fight, so this guy can eat some super necessary follow-up punches after getting knocked out. A good opportunity to show the darker side of Kenshin's persona and make him less cringe.

But overall, the matchmaking is, I don't know, kind of predictable? First, Aoba fought a powered-up version of Kenshin; now Kenshin is gonna fight Aoba on steroids. Then they fight each other. The plot is kind of black and white, or "red and blue" in this case. I wish we'd had a bit more side-character development.
