Awww Evil Junior-chan misses her General too :(

I feel like this whole thing will start shifting to have Hane properly confront her feelings for Junna independent of the older magical girl while somehow that bit of information becomes a relevant wedge in their relationship.

RIP the author wanting Hane to be cutesy but also writing her darker and scarier every couple of chapters. The fluff fell into darkness.

Also random aside, but do the Magical Girls know that Junna has a Magical Girl-esque transformation? They know she was a General obviously, but given Hane bubbled Junna I would assume she's not aware Junna can actively fight the enemy.

I really like elements of this series but its been really obvious to me in the past few chapters that story would be so much better if it were serialized with an editor. The cute slice of life and dark magical girl drama sometimes feel like they're in separate series in a way that takes me out of the story, even if the contrast works most of the time. The pacing and clarity of the worldbuilding has also been a mess, to put it kindly. When the series first started it felt like the worldbuilding was carried by audience expectations and knowledge of similar works like Madoka and then the mangaka realized they actually needed to fill out some lore, but too late.

I kinda hope this story gets serialized at some point with proper continuity, the idea is amazing, it just needs proper polish. Wouldnt be the first to go from web comic to serialized manga with proper edition

It's a story that definitely needs room to breathe, a few pages per chapter just makes the rhythm terrible to follow

I'll just gonna hope that the Dark Lord didn't turn out to be the magical girl she's been admired so much about or that the magicl girl is actually Junna‘s big sister :nyoron:

It's just Junna. We have no evidence Junna ever had a sister, and if the Dark Lord was the magical girl, why does Junna have the charm? It makes no sense.

The charm is the main evidence, and Junna has it. Besides, just a few chapters ago they revealed that most of the girls working for the evil organization are former magical girls the Dark Lord captured. If so, Junna most likely was a magical girl too.

It is very funny to watch the author lose control of Hane's character as the series goes on. You'd be surprised at how little control writers have over their characters in the end.
