We’re in a weird holding pattern thanks to Hazuki. You can’t prove a negative, and she’s unlikely to catch them in the act given she’s already shown her hand. So who knows when or how this ends.

There was something I meant to bring up in the discussion we were having last chapter. Previously, I believe Hinata had mentioned or implied in her internal dialogue that she would back off with Mizuki when her husband returned to the picture, if he ever does. But now she’s had to go low contact, she’s suffering from withdrawal. Makes you wonder if she could really follow through on that plan.

Perhaps the point of this little arc is using the distance to force Hinata and Mizuki to confront their feelings. This started with them both just trying to fill some void in their hearts, while also satisfying their high libidos. Now they’ve both caught feelings they shouldn’t have. Yes, there are more suitable and socially acceptable partners for their emotional (and sexual) needs in both their orbits, but that’s just not how things worked out.

Yes and no, it is true that they are mother and daughter and they look alike physically, but it is not directly what Hinata and any person who is in love feels, I don't think that for example you always had a friend who you treated very affectionately because you trusted him, but you meet his older brother and you fall in love, that brother looks alike physically, but the age, his way of thinking, his reactions, the daughter is not the same as the mother, each one has her personality even though they look alike, Hinata She once said that she didn't fall in love physically (when Hizuka was talking about t*ts with hinata), she genuinely feels a connection with hizuka's mother.
