That being said, taking the decision on the spot because her daughter is mad at her is probably not the right timing. Hinata also wanted to wait for one more year.

Does that make it the right timing ? Probably not. Is there any right timing, other than before it happened ? Also probably not. Fucking arranged marriage culture...

Then again, I guess I do feel a disconnect with Hazuki's concerns and can't see how it would be a big deal if Mizuki was having an affair with Mao. Why would anyone expect or care about someone staying faithful to a marriage they didn't want ?
