Aaaaand it’s burnt. Author overcooked, it’s awful. Thanks for the translation
Who said anything about using the clover? You can have an even older version of Futaba who does it with technology. It kinda seems like the clover only lets you time travel with the goal of protecting someone else's happiness.
I disagree in part, I think that the issues are still there, but just the knowledge that someone is going to be there no matter what even after knowing a darker truth means that they aren't going to make drastic measures. Not as bad as I feared, but I'm still disappointed by the ending so far. Feels like a lot of deep rooted issues are being solved just by one talk with the person, which feels incongruous with the rest of the series. Also, I kind of liked the idea that Futaba WAS incompetent in some ways, but, no, we're just getting her being a super genius again without addressing her flaws.
the thing is ... author probably pondered to make it sci-fi (the watch was the time traveling device) or fantasy (what we got with the clover), so by the end author went with the easier choice to make it work for Uichi to time travel.wow I can’t believe they helped the mastermind that ruined their lives. Should have let her rot.
Also the method of time travel is incredibly stupid. How many random people have had their wishes granted or time traveled to fuck up the time line if all you need if a four leaf clover and to say pwetty pwease? If there was more than one chapter left I’d assume the main villainess lady was a time traveler.
yes, but you know if we got that the time traveling device was made by a Futaba in the future that realized that revenge was never the answer and felt like crap from pushing Uichi (completely innocent on this sh!t) k!ll himself and destroy the life of the only person that was her friend (yotsuha was also innocent but she was related to the main villain), that would have gave us a redemption from seeing that after all this crap Futaba wasn't fully evil, but in Uichi without Yotsuha timeline she still was wearing her mask to fix on society and she was doubtful if Uichi time traveled he could mess with her own future, like a comment made in ch.99, her thirst for knowledge wasn't as big as her self-interest.Who said anything about using the clover? But if you want to keep using the clover, then just have her think about protecting her dad's happiness.
I agree with this, particularly if the regret for pushing to the brink went along with realizing Yotsuha and Uichi were her only real friends. Though what I think would also work would be showing Uichi and Yotsuha wavering on their decision with Futaba at least a little, to actively show their reasoning. It feels rushed because it's missing a small redemption arc / chapter or two for Futaba Futatsugi.
It could've happened in the original timeline (e.g. she shows immense regret for pushing them to the brink - hollowness of revenge), or in the no-Yotsuha timeline (e.g. she actively helps Uichi remembers Yotsuha - Uichi really needed to be shown to work for those memories.)
Anyways, thanks to TL team! Would've been agonising to read each chapter 1 by 1 during the depression part!
The time travel method is extremely location-specific though. It's performing a ritual for a god using an object from the vicinity of their shrine and presumably the wish also has to be made within a certain distance of the god's domain, which would stop too many random people from being able to happen upon it.wow I can’t believe they helped the mastermind that ruined their lives. Should have let her rot.

While I still think that Futaba's violent tendencies are a result of the trauma rather than inherent, you saying this makes me realize that if she did jump straight to the violent answer, with the full story and a still alive Kazuha, all that cunning and killer urges could get redirected to the one person who actually deserves it. That would pretty fun to see. Especially if it wasn't as easy to convince Dad about Kazuha (since usually it's not easy to convince people about their cult leaders...)make a chapter of Yotsuha trying to save Futaba in a one to one conversation, while her dark thoughts start to appear, because we know her "superior" mind would go for mass k!llings to solve her problems.
