Writers of these sorts of comics never give any thought to how their plot would be presented in a game.
Why would the queen die, and no answer be given for how she was killed? How would that be a small background detail with no other information given other than 'she died, lol'?

I'm not going to single this comic out in particular, but I see it all the time where the conceit of the comic is that the protagonist has entered into a game world with a story they know by heart, only for the story to be absolutely convoluted in such a way that it couldn't conceivably be the story of an actual game, much less a book or anything else.
They just say they're in a game world plot because it sounds cool, but the writer don't do any of the work to actually make the story work within than constraint that they themselves made.
This doesn't mean that the player would feasibly know all details of a world just because they played a game within such a setting, but don't say stupid things like 'this important character died... we weren't told why' -- as if such a thing happens in much of any damned piece of media. :pout:

Chapter 43 hit different. That Queen Mama suicide reveal? Didn’t see it coming at all. Wild twist plus the shield going down and a possible traitor in the guards. Demonio’s got his work cut out for him.

Thanks for picking this up.

glances at Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave
Sometimes it can just happen especially in a game with more routes than anything.

Iirc the queen is just a side character in the game story and I believe Demonio mentioned that some plot details of the game were just really not fleshed out in the 1st place.

I haven't read the AI chapters, so I'm not sure how this one will be explained. If I had to guess, it'd be the queen plotting to fake her own death to draw out the real assassins - but perhaps the fake assassin was the real one all along, and did his job too well...

Finally someone picked this up, bummer when MTL chapters deleted when there was no other options.

So it's back...it will take a while before reaching the point where the mtl translation stopped but the important thing is that someone is working on this series.

Writers [...]
We know since the start of the arc that the Queen was poisoned, the question was HOW, because the game and even the published novels never really go into details, since in the game you are following the route of the game character.
In the manga, Demonio, with his love of the Mamas shows us the other side of the story, what happens in the back stage if you will.

Now, the MC made the hypothesis that it was someone that laced her wine.
But as explained it is unlikely that someone outside the Queen circle could do it, hence the reveal that it is the Queen that facilitated the poisoning.

The logic of it all does relies on the motivations of the Queen, if the author botch that, it's going to be disappointing.
