False. Their last chapter was uploaded on the 23rd of July, less than two months ago. Mangadex just rounds anything over 44 days or some shit to "2 months" instead of rounding down as one would normally expect.

They still have another week before it becomes 2 months in the first place, and the general rule is 3 months before something is considered dropped and okay to pick up.

Mind you I'm personally a whole lot more okay with it when it's a decent quality translation like this instead of that MTL garbage the other guy posted. But there's a lot of people here lying about how long the other people have been radio silent.

I appreciate someone willing to do the hard work of translating without resorting to MTL slop but the "ahhhhh it's been two months with no updates!!!" cries always fall flat on me when I've got stuff in my reading list that was last updated damn near a decade ago.

Especially this time of year. Basically start of school, midterms/holiday, finals/end of year are where I expect any group to have delays and be too busy for regular updates.

I did see on another site that someone is doing translations but the rest of the currently released chapters are locked away by a subscription sadly...

that quality is trash, somehow its worse than the MTL group on here

Well, I picked up this manga on a whim, and I've actually been following it for a long time, If the previous translator ever comes back, I'll step aside

I would say, because of the people arguing here about whether it is proper or not: try to contact the previous (non-MTL) team and ask if you can take over in the capacity you feel you can do.

So you at least can have the peace of mind that you aren't making their work-in-progress feel redundant to them, and worst case scenario (which I imagine is the fear and motivation for taking a "stronger" stance against this) stop working on this definitively.

If they haven't answered after you've tried consistently for a week or two, I'd find that as enough due diligence to continue. Unless IRL stuff is eating them alive, at least a short response should be possible within that long a window.
