Sounds like he's enjoying the freedom very much. When in America, do what Americans do.

nah he told me he wants to lose weight but he can't stop eating.
I told him to eat an egg chicken salad, but I forgot he can't buy eggs

I probably couldn't survive in America. I don't like food that is too sweet and too much grease makes my stomach churn.

There are people who eat healthy here - you would be able to find something.

What it would cost is another matter entirely.

I think what happened is that since he's living alone, on foreign land no less, he's not cooking and is just eating processed food. Coupled with the fact that being fat makes him lazy, he only gets fatter and fatter. He was pretty disciplined when he was still living with his parents.

Easy to do. I have to remind myself to not fall into that trap anymore.
