Yeah, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve referred to an author as male, only for someone to jump in and point out that the author is actually female. Not that it changes the criticism. Still, some people assume you’re only saying what you’re saying because of the author’s gender, which is pretty annoying, to be honest.

@BakedBanana must be a nice person irl, too. I don't know about him being a school teacher, though (I use "he/him" and he never complained) :02:

Edit: Kids, please remember not to make assumptions about people in real life

It's never a good idea to assume someone is a good person just because they are courteous over the internet.

My default assumption is that everyone online is a gooner. Even the most wholesome ones like @athayanezant can be freaks (She's totally a motherfluffer)
@Mangamoz Her first message I saw was about women reading hentai and I still assumed she was a man. I still feel shame about that.
She was the woman reading hentai btw.

Exactly, you're a murder goblin online, so it means that IRL you give girl scout cookies to homeless people.

Yeah, of the smut I read, the ones drawn by female authors tend to be way more hardcore.
Or Masochists.
I certainly am afraid of their stuff.

The stuff they create alone is pretty hardcore and a bit frightening on its own.
The really scary stuff comes when "I wish that was me"

Default to she/her because if you get it right yay!!!!!! and if you get it wrong that's their trans awakening (i'm not trans)

@pedronimo However, it could offend a trans man. It’s better stick to they/them 😅

Call them a swearword, then use it as a suffix.
Kinda like the 4chan -fag suffix or how aussies use cunt
Probs should look for a good swearword for that

@panzerkampfwagyu Ironically enough, I don't swear at all IRL. That's just an online english thing for me. IRL I am boringly reserved.

I have a pretty vulgar speaking style IRL, myself, quite a bit more coloured by my online communication style

Indeed, the best loli yuri artists are female, a few exceptions are Kurogane Ken. About using they/them in singular... I always knew English was an illogical language.
