If you ask me, putting labels on people like “normies” is cringe as fuck. Same goes for calling people “weebs.” It just feels like you’re trying way too hard to put yourself into some kind of separate group instead of just enjoying the same stuff as everyone else.

I'll never forget the 2000s of anime, it was a whole different time.

@Litreara "weebs" and "normies" is always about "others", and "others" are simply different to yourself and myself. Weebs are normies that have become engrossed with this hobby, while normies are those who only watch or read a few series while pretending they don't do or just as a side dish while they watch HBO series.
@BakedBanana well, wasn't the biggest tide in 2016? Anyways, at some point in the past decade.

I honestly like it. There's more people who share my interest & it's more socially acceptable. I remember when i was younger i told my friends i watched anime and some of them gave me the "weirdo" look.
